Tarangire River
Camp is located
fifteen minutes
drive (about 3.5
km) from the
main entrance to
Tarangire
National Park on
a fantastic
location
overlooking a
tributary of the
Tarangire River
where you can
sit and take in
your
surroundings
with views
across to the
park.
This semi
permanent luxury
tented camp
overlooks the
Tarangire River,
affording it's
visitors
stunning views
of the
meandering
river, the vast
plains across
the park, Lake
Manyara, the
Rift Valley and
the Ngorongoro
highlands. Mount
Meru and Mount
Kilimanjaro are
easily viewed
from each tent.

completely
rebuilt with new
rooms, which are
enormous.
Tarangire River
camp has 10
spacious luxury
tents complete
with running
water including
attached toilet
with hot water
showers. All
rooms have 220v
solar power that
is available 24
hours a day.
There is not
much in terms of
facilities as
the camp is
right in the
heart of the
African bush
except for the
main lounge and
dining area
beneath an
enormous old
Baobab tree.
The camp
provides close
access to
premier wildlife
viewing areas of
the park.
Additional
activities
include tribal
visits with
Datoga and bush
walks in the
areas
neighboring the
park, are
offered as well
as the
traditional game
drives.
Delicious meals
are served in
the mess tent
under the Baobab
with attentive
service. The
safari chef
prepares
excellent meals
blending
continental and
traditional
African meals
each day.
