Tarangire Sopa
Lodge is
situated on the
eastern side of
the Tarangire
National Park
opposite
Tarangire Hill.
It is a large
resort type
hotel offering a
variety of
facilities.
Tarangire Sopa
Lodge's
outbuildings are
designed in the
style of an
elephant, which
seems like a
strange concept,
but act ually
allows for a
complementary
lay out for the
rooms and the
communal area.
Tarangire Sopa
lodge has 75
rooms each with
twin queen size
beds and has all
the basic
luxuries such as
air
conditioners,
balcony and
showers.
The makuti-style
thatched roof
over the
reception and
dining room is
quite beautiful
and is the ideal
place for an
afternoon
leisure.
Tarangire Sopa
safari lodge
boasts of a
large swimming
pool, a
fantastic place
to go for a
circular swim
after lunch.
The lodge offers
game-viewing
experience
either by way of
guided walking
safaris or
game-drives in
open-sided
safari vehicles.
The food is
good, and with a
rooftop barbeque
area and
poolside tables,
the choice of
where to eat can
be as confusing
as what to eat!
