At the
southern end of the Mara, right
in the path of the annual
migration of wildebeest and
zebras path, lies Keekorok
Lodge. There is always plenty of
activity around the waterhole
but during the migration, the
lodge is enveloped by the
swarming mass of animals. One
need hardly venture from ground
to game view. From the verandah
and from Kiboko Bar, there is
plenty to see. One unfortunate
zeb ra met its end right in front
of the dinning room, providing
supper for a pride of hungry
lions, and 'live' entertainment
for enthralled guests at Keekorok.
Accommodation
at Keekorok Lodge is in
bungalows, single story blocks,
and in comfortable shaded
chalets. The liberal use of
cedar wood, pink and gray sand
river stone, and other
indigenous building materials
offset the green lawns and
colorful bougainvillea. After a
day in the fresh air, the
excitement of game spotting, a
refreshing dip in the swimming
pool, and the ritual of
sundowners by the roaring log
fire in the lounge heralds an
evening full of traditional
Masai dancing, cultural or
wildlife lectures and videos
with yet another of those
remarkable Keekorok dinners.

Camp is set in the best

camp is under canvas with all

and their Royal visitors. It

Governors’ is intimate in
character, with just 17
luxury en-suite tents tucked
around a large watering hole
that teems with both birds
and wildlife. The camp is
approached by a boat ride
across the Mara River, then
an escorted walk through the riverine forest. Vehicles
are left on the far river
bank, and the camp is
therefore quiet and
undisturbed.
The guest tents at Little
Governors’ have recently
been
renovated
and now have great wooden
decks with large verandahs
for guests to enjoy the
constant game activity that
takes place around the
watering hole at the camp.
All Governors’ properties
are unfenced, and at Little
Governors’ there is a
resident family of
warthogs that wander freely
through the camp. Guests may
need to make way for
elephants which sometimes
visit the camp at lunch
time.

This tented camp situated in the
northwest of the Mara at the base of
the Aitong hills on the ox-bow of
the Mara River, bordering the world
renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve.
The Camp takes advantage of a
natural sweep in the river enabling

by water and all the tents are
elevated on
 platforms ensuring
a unique view! All the tents have
their own private river frontage.
There is also a platform between

There is a total of 50 tents, of
which 42 are twin-bedded and 8
double-bedded. 10 of these double
bedded-tents are Premium tents and

Leleshwa Camp is an eco-friendly camp committed to community conservation and
development. The camp is situated just outside of the Masai Mara Game Reserve
which gives gu ests the opportunity to enjoy a range of other safari activities
in addition to those permitted in the reserve itself.
Leleshwa Camp consists of 7 well-appointed tents of 20 x 14 feet with en-suite
bathrooms and a large verandah. Each tent has either 2 single or 1 king sized
bed with duvet bedding and an extra canvas cot bed can be provided for children.
The tents are insect-proof and pleasantly furnished with thoughtful touches for

Bathrooms are fitted with flushing toilets and a traditional safari shower.
Although water is not piped to the tents, hot water is available at all times.
Solar power provides lighting inside the tents. At night, hurricane lamps bathe

Kicheche Mara Camp is a classic tented camp hidden in a

of the northern Mara plains. The camp is f

days when staying in a tented camp meant roughing it.
Set on the bank of the Mara River the Karen Blixen camp's location is
spectacular, with the great Mara plains behind the camp and the impressive
escarpment and the river in front. Throughout the day zebras, elephants and
hippos come to drink from

The camp comprises 22 spacious tents set on large mahogany platforms – each with
a private veranda from which you can enjoy an afternoon siesta drinking in the

the ultimate camping luxury. 19 tents are placed along the riverbank, whilst 3
units are situated on raised platforms offering incredible views of the area.
Each of the tents has private bathrooms. Gas geysers heats up water whenever a
guest wishes to enjoy a hot shower. We do not use firewood and thus refrain from
contributing to deforestation of the area. 6 solar panels provide us with all
the necessary electricity with a battery bank making sure there is power and
light in the tents all day and night. Camp facilities also include a restaurant,

treatments offered by our resident masseuse.
